Meet Farante Ager: The Healthy Lowcountry Lady

Farm Friends, we are excited to announce that our good friend Farante Ager is the guest speaker for our August 23rd, Farm Event. “Farante Ager is a graduate of the Graduate Certificate in Complementary Alternative Medicine, Graduate Certificate in Wellness Consulting, Graduate Certificate in Holistic Nutrition, and Master of Science in Health and Wellness.” American College of Healthcare Sciences (ACHS)
Coming to this event will permit guests to hear Farante share about her journey to fulfill her mission of “Supporting Families through Food, Health, and Wellness”. In addition, Farante will explain her work as a doula and breastfeeding peer counselor who provides her clients with “great knowledge, support, and comfort”.
Is “Meatless Monday” a concept you’re considering? Do you think vegetarian and vegan options are just not for you? Do you want to eat less meat but aren’t sure which recipes would suit your taste or satisfy your body? Is a traditional but healthier way of eating what you want? Do you have a mixed diet household and need some balance? Do you need to cut out some foods from your diet because of allergies or some other health issues? So many questions!
Our guest speaker, Farante Ager addresses those concerns daily in her own household as she navigates allergies, traditional tastes and vegan choices. She will share her experiences and success as she prepares meals for her family of five on a daily basis and offer advice to her clients. She will share tips for eating out, traveling and packing lunches, and the benefits of selecting and eating healthier meals. She will have something helpful to share with everyone and we’ll have a delicious lunch with traditional and vegan dishes!
Farante is married and together with her husband they have three children who are homeschooled. how she manages her family’s homeschool schedule, dietary choices and tastes in a variety of ways from vegan to traditional dishes. Hear about their favorite recipes and how to plan ahead with different foods and preferences are involved.
Join us Saturday, August 23, 11:00 am-1:00 pm at the Gullah Farmers Cooperative building to hear Farante share her thoughts, professional advice, and suggestions, for her household as she also supports her husband and his stressful job in law enforcement, homeschools her three children, and works as a doula and holistic healthcare provider.
There will be activities for children from the 4-H Healthy Living Project to encourage participation by all members of the family.
