About the event
This initiative helps students become aware of educational and career opportunities in agriculture, culinary arts, and traditional Southern foodways while:
Preparing for college and the USDA 1890 Scholarship to HBCUs
Mentorship from farmers, chefs, and food historians
Participation in 4-H, FFA, and hands-on workshops
Preserving Gullah Geechee culinary traditions, seed saving, and agricultural vocations
Our goal is to revitalize these vocations while inspiring the next generation to connect with their heritage and the land.
