Morning Glory Homestead Farm invites you to our annual celebration of Charlotte Forten's arrival to St. Helena Island. Enjoy a campfire supper by Chef BJ Dennis as we honor 'Charlotte Forten: A Woman Who Embraced Outdoor Spaces.
Chef BJDennis is well know for his live outdoor fire cooking which will be featured during this event. The ingredients and style of cooking were a part of the traditions and culture Charlotte Forten was introduced to during her tenure on St. Helena Island at the Penn School. Fresh local, seasonal vegetables including Carolina Gold rice, will be served along with locally sourced meat and seafood.
